Neues Gipfelkreuz am Höhenstein

Die Höhenstein-Runde im Bergsteigerdorf Lunz am See ist um ein Gipfelkreuz reicher.

Neben dem bereits bestehenden Kreuz am Egger Berg (1.134 m) haben nun  äußerst fleißige Schüler der HTL Waidhofen an der Ybbs mit ihren Professoren  im Rahmens des Workshops in der letzten Schulwoche am Höhenstein (1.098 m) ein neues schmiedeeisernes Gipfelkreuz errichtet.

Die Idee, im Rahmen eines Treffens der Schmiedemeister der österreichischen HTLs ein (Gipfel-)Kreuz zu schmieden, stammte vom Abteilungsvorstand der Wirtschaftsingenieure , Dipl.-Ing. Gerhard Pölzgutter. Geschmiedet wurde das Kreuz vor etwa einem Jahr beim österreichweiten Treffen der Schmiedemeister im Eyblhammer in Ybbsitz.

Neben AV Pölzgutter war von Seiten der HTL Waidhofen Schmiedemeister Ernst Fahrngruber tätig.  Mag. Josef Merkinger als Lehrer und Gebietskenner machte sich auf die Suche nach einem lohnenden Gipfel und freute sich, im Rahmen des wunderbaren Rundwanderwegs um die Höhenstein Stube eine passende Stelle gefunden zu haben.

Die Aufstellung des Gipfelkreuzes wurde nun von einem vierten Jahrgang der Wirtschaftsingenieure (4AHWIM) mit Mag. Merkinger und DI Wilhelm Junker perfekt umgesetzt.

Die feierliche Einweihung des neuen Gipfelkreuzes ist für Herbst  geplant.
